Our Physician Assistants

Lee Y. Parsons, PA-C

Lee has been with Urology Associates since November 2007. She works exclusively with Dr. Stanley Galansky. She has lived most of her life in the Denver area graduating from Overland High School. Lee graduated from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska where she also received her commission as a second lieutenant in the US Army. She served in the Engineer Branch with assignments in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, Fort Lewis Washington, and Fort Carson, Colorado.

After exiting the military, Lee furthered her education, and graduated from the Child Health Associate/Physician Assistant Program at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in 2006. She immediately began working in ambulatory pediatrics concurrently with emergency medicine in Houston, Texas. Lee is grateful to be back home working in such an exciting and challenging field that integrates her pediatrics background with an ever changing urology specialty. Lee enjoys spending time with her family and participating in activities at her church in her free time.

Jeffrey S. Mallaber, PA-C

Jeffery Mallaber, PA-C joined Urology Associates in August, 1999. Prior to this he practiced family medicine through a family practice residency training program in the Denver metropolitan area. He graduated from the University of Colorado Physician Assistant / Child Health Associate program. Jeff has three adult daughters, four grandchildren and enjoys spending as much time with his grandchildren as possible. Jeff thoroughly enjoys providing excellent patient care.

Susan M. Eichorst, PA-C

Susan Eichorst PA-C joined Urology Associates in 2005 and currently teams with Dr. Barrett Cowan whose special interest is male infertility. Susan attended the Physical Assistant Program at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia and received her Masters in Medical Science in 1999. She has been an active member in the South Denver medical community since 2000.

Originally from the Chicago area, she relocated to Denver in 1992 after graduating from the University of Illinois with a Bachelor’s degree in Ornamental Horticulture. She loves the Colorado lifestyle where we ski in the morning and play golf in the afternoon.

Kimberly M. Brey, PA-C

Kimberly Brey, MA, MMS, PA-C is originally from Houston, Texas and graduated from Texas A&M University in 1995 with a BS in Psychology. She immediately went to graduate school at Houston Baptist University and earned her Master of Arts degree in Psychology. After working in her field a few years, she accepted a Senior Research Coordinator position at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center.

Her main project was to coordinate data and liase with physicians to create a user-friendly CD-ROM which educated patients and physicians on the feasibility of sperm cryopreservation prior to receiving cancer treatment that could potentially cause infertility. This led to co-authorship of two articles, which appeared in the Journal of Clinical Oncology in 2002. After working closely with the physicians on this project, she decided to become a Physician Assistant. She graduated from St. Louis University in 2005. After she and her husband moved to Denver, Colorado, she was hired by Urology Associates in 2006. She is currently a member of AAPA and CAPA.

Shawheen P. Young, PA-C

Shawheen Young, MHS, PA-C is a native of Northern California who moved to Colorado in 1995. He attended the University of Colorado at Boulder, graduating summa cum laude, with a B.A. in psychology. Following this, he earned his EMT-B certificate and worked as a medical assistant, helping to dispense medical care to the Denver metro homeless population through a mobile outreach program. He later attended the Hahnemann Physician Assistant Program at Drexel University, graduating in 2007 with a Masters in Health Science.

Shawheen is certified through the National Commission of Certified Physician Assistants. His clinical scope of practice includes conducting routine office visits, pre and post-operative evaluation, and performing hospital consults.

Shawheen lives in Denver with his wife and enjoys the abundance of outdoor activities Colorado has to offer.
