Francesca Kranz, PA-C
Dr. Alger’s Physician Assistant
Frankie Kranz grew up in small town just outside of Peoria, IL. She attended the University of Notre Dame in Indiana where she graduated with a major in neuroscience. While she was there, she worked as a student athletic trainer, and she helped to take care of college athletes. Prior to becoming a PA, Frankie gained patient care experience working as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at a rehab facility and an Alzheimer’s special care center. She also worked for a short time as a pharmacy technician to better her understanding of medications and their side effects.
From the time she was young, Frankie knew she wanted to have a career in medicine, so much so, that she shadowed many different medical professionals before she decided that the role of a Physician Assistant was the right fit for her. She went on to graduate from PA school at Creighton University’s School of Medicine in Omaha, NE.
Frankie enjoys being a physician assistant because it gives her the opportunity to serve others. She is passionate about patient education, and she is focused on treating the whole person. She uses her knowledge to come up with the best individual care plan for each person. She enjoys the specialized field of Urology because it is both a medical and surgical specialty, and she finds that the patients are incredibly kind and grateful for the care they receive. She feels privileged to be able to help patients who are fighting cancer and finds it rewarding to be a part of their journey.
When she has free time, Frankie likes to spend time outdoors hiking and enjoys landscape photography. She has a huge heart for dogs and enjoys spending time with her mini golden doodle named Pumpkin. She also likes cooking and enjoys giving back to her community through volunteering.
