What Is Orgovyx®?
Orgovyx is a type of hormone therapy used to treat certain types of prostate cancer. It works by lowering testosterone levels in the body.
Testosterone is a hormone that can help prostate cancer cells grow. By temporarily reducing testosterone, Orgovyx helps limit the fuel that prostate cancer cells need to grow.
Unlike some hormone therapies that require injections, Orgovyx is a daily pill taken by mouth, giving some patients a convenient option as part of their treatment plan.
Why Is Hormone Therapy Used for Prostate Cancer?
Hormone therapy may be recommended for men with prostate cancer in several situations. It may be used when cancer has spread, returned after previous treatment, or alongside other treatments such as radiation therapy.
