Recently, we were honored to celebrate Kristie Kokeny, PA-C, for being recognized as a Smoky Hill Rotary Paul Harris Fellow — an award that reflects Rotary’s inspiring motto: “Service Above Self.”
Compassionate Care Beyond Treatment
For years, Kristie has dedicated her professional life to caring for patients with compassion, dignity, and unwavering support. While excellent medical care is always the foundation of what we do, Kristie’s impact reaches far beyond treatment itself.
Many of our prostate cancer patients know Kristie not only as a skilled provider, but as someone who genuinely cares about them as people. She brings empathy, kindness, and reassurance to every interaction — qualities that patients and families remember long after appointments end.
Honoring a Commitment to Service
Kristie’s recognition as a Paul Harris Fellow reflects both her dedication to patient care and her commitment to serving others beyond the clinic walls.
This honor also represents an incredible Smoky Hill Rotary initiative. In partnership with Rotary clubs around the world, the organization helped provide state-of-the-art urology equipment for a hospital in Beius, Romania. This meaningful project will help expand access to advanced urologic care and improve lives for patients both locally and globally.
A Lasting Impact on Patients
This recognition also reminds us of a special moment we shared with Kristie previously, when longtime patient Lloyd Gottman honored her compassionate care through a donation made in her name to the Rotary Club. Moments like these are powerful reminders of the meaningful relationships formed between providers and patients and the lasting impact genuine compassion can have.
