Watch Our Free Virtual Webinar
We invite you to watch this educational online session. The FREE Health Webinar covers the signs, symptoms, and treatment options for stress urinary incontinence, presented by Dr. Mit Shah, Board-Certified Urologist.
This virtual format makes it easy to learn about urinary incontinence in a convenient, private setting without the need for travel or an in-office visit.
What Is Stress Urinary Incontinence?
Stress urinary incontinence occurs when physical movement or activity places pressure on the bladder, leading to unintentional urine leakage. This may happen during coughing, sneezing, laughing, exercise, or lifting heavy objects.
In both men and women, SUI is related to weakening or dysfunction of the pelvic floor muscles and bladder support structures. It may also develop after prostate surgery in men or after childbirth and hormonal changes in women.
While not life-threatening, it can significantly affect daily life and may lead individuals to limit activities or feel self-conscious in social or physical settings.
Why This Webinar Matters
Many people assume urinary leakage is a normal part of aging or something that cannot be improved. In reality, stress urinary incontinence is a treatable medical condition with a range of effective options.
During this webinar, we cover:
- What causes stress urinary incontinence
- How it is diagnosed
- Conservative treatment options
- Minimally invasive procedures
- Surgical treatment options when appropriate
- When to seek evaluation from a urology specialist
The goal is to provide clear, practical education so patients can better understand their condition and feel empowered to explore treatment options.
